About the Role
/ Position Summary

The Data Warehouse Developer is accountable for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining high-quality cloud-based solutions using Power Platform tools and services following Agile development methodologies. Ideal candidates possess a strong understanding of software development and the software development life cycle, excel in collaborating within small technical teams, and focus on code reusability and solution flexibility. Experience in building relational and multidimensional databases, developing and testing ETL/ELT processes, and working within Microsoft Azure is essential for success in this role.

What You’ll Do / Position Responsibilities

Administration

  • Database Administrator; configuration, maintenance and support of Azure production database environment ensuring strong security/compliance enforcement, following best practices and continuous improvement.

Development

  • SQL Server SME, ETL SME and Data Governance agent.
  • Translate business requirements into well-architected deliverables using Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Build, test, deploy, and support Microsoft Power Platform custom applications in accordance with established standards and best practices.
  • Participate in technical design sessions; develop detailed technical solution documentation that is aligned with client business objectives.
  • Design and develop transactional and dimensional (Kimball methodology) data models, and create database tables, views, stored procedures, SSAS Tabular models, PBI datasets and ETL processes.
  • Analyzing and resolving application or system issues.

Integrations

  • Manage and support integrations of solutions while understanding cloud architecture, data integration, security, and performance optimization.
  • Understand business difficulties to provide solutions by applying problem-solving skills to automate business processes.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies and be aware of best practices around data engineering/processing.

Overall

  • Consistently follow Agile project management methodology.
  • Consistently recognize the Microsoft Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE).
  • Work in close collaboration with other engineers, designers, analysts, and other teams and stakeholders.
  • Maintain up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud technology.
  • Project Management on assigned projects.

What We Expect / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. For certain positions, we accept a high school diploma, GED, or National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC).
  • 5+ years’ work experience in technology solutions/IT function.
  • 5+ years’ work experience using MS SQL Server 2016 or higher and exemplary knowledge of T-SQL.
  • Previous implementation of a production data warehouse environment (databases and ETL).
  • 3 years’ work experience using SSAS Tabular, DAX and JSON.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server 2017 or higher, REST API, PowerShell, JavaScript, HTML.
  • 3 years’ work experience using MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Work experience developing Azure Data Factory pipelines.
  • 3+ years’ development experience with Power Platform (Power Apps/Logic Apps/Power Automate).
  • Work experience developing Power BI dashboards and Paginated reports (SSRS) desired.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify and resolve/escalate complex problems with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Experience working with business teams to gather business requirements.
  • Project Management experience (SEI CMM level 2 or higher).
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and high work ethic.
