DePaul Cristo Rey High School in Cincinnati, Ohio is hiring a President to lead the organization to fulfill its mission and ensure continued growth and community impact. The President will lead a talented executive leadership team and a total staff of 60 in serving over 300 students each academic year.


ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

DePaul Cristo Rey High School educates young people from various religious backgrounds and cultures to become men and women of knowledge, faith, purpose, and service. By offering a rigorous curriculum, a unique work-study experience, and the support of an inclusive school community, they prepare their students to succeed in college and beyond with the values essential to a fulfilling life. DePaul Cristo Rey High School is a member of the Cristo Rey Network, a national association of high schools that provide a quality, Catholic, college preparatory education to students from families with limited financial resources.


WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

The President is the administrative leader and a spiritual leader of DePaul Cristo Rey High School, a Catholic high school sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati. The President is responsible for the overall management of the school, including its development and growth as a Cristo Rey Network high school. The President reports to the school’s Board of Directors and collaborates with the Sisters of Charity Corporation Board for Sponsored Ministries, the Cristo Rey Network, and the Cincinnati Archdiocesan Catholic Schools Office.

The President plays a leading role in furthering the school’s mission, developing long-range strategic plans, guiding institutional growth through oversight of the Executive Leadership Team responsible for student enrollment, academics, advancement, marketing and communications, alumni and public relations, stewardship of the school’s financial resources, and the ongoing evolution, growth, and sustainability of the Corporate Work Study Program. The President does this while building relationships with students and families, faculty and staff, and with members of the Greater Cincinnati community.

Administrative Leadership:

  • Partners with the Board of Directors to implement governance and school policies; hires, leads, and holds accountable the executive leadership team while serving as President of both the School and Corporate Work Study Program corporations, with responsibility for the continued growth and vitality of the Corporate Work Study Program.

  • Serves as the school’s primary liaison to the Cristo Rey Network and ensures the school meets or exceeds network standards and key performance metrics, including enrollment, retention, academic success, and graduation outcomes.



Mission and Culture:

  • Advances the mission of DePaul Cristo Rey High School, the Cristo Rey Network, and the Sisters of Charity by fostering a faith-centered, inclusive Catholic school culture aligned with the Cristo Rey model and Mission Effectiveness Standards.

  • Leads with visibility, authenticity, and transparency—building trust across students, faculty, staff, and the Board while maintaining a strong, engaged presence on campus and in the life of the school.



Public Relations and Development:

  • Serves as chief spokesperson and ambassador, promoting the school’s mission and impact to key internal and external stakeholders, including the Sisters of Charity, the Archdiocese, corporate partners, alumni, benefactors, and civic leaders.

  • In partnership with the advancement team, cultivates and sustains high-impact relationships with donors, foundations, and Corporate Work Study partners to expand and strengthen the Corporate Work Study Program, securing resources supporting long-term strategic priorities.

  • In partnership with the Corporate Work Study team, cultivates and sustains relationships with Corporate Work Study Partner to expand and strengthen the Corporate Work Study Program.



Strategic Planning and Finances:

  • Collaborates with the Board and leadership team to establish and advance strategic goals that ensure the school’s growth, sustainability, and mission impact, including the long-term evolution and financial strength of the Corporate Work Study Program.

  • Provides financial oversight in partnership with the Chief Financial Officer, including budget development, monitoring financial performance, and adapting plans to evolving conditions.



Team Management & Development:

  • Oversees a cross-functional executive leadership team spanning advancement, operations, Corporate Work Study, marketing/communications, admissions, and academics through partnership with the Principal.

  • Cultivates a collaborative, high-performance culture that breaks down silos, aligns teams around shared goals, and supports leadership development and long-term organizational success.

IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE


The ideal President is a confident, relationship-driven leader and chief ambassador who strengthens partnerships across the community, corporate sector, alumni, and philanthropic supporters. With a strategic mindset, this leader pairs vision with execution to advance the school’s mission and sustainability. Grounded in integrity and cultural awareness, the President inspires trust, cultivates an inclusive culture, and remains authentically connected to students and families, bringing deep passion and joy to a thriving school community.

  • Proven ability to lead and hold accountable a senior leadership team while providing strong organizational leadership.

  • Established or emerging relationships within the Greater Cincinnati business and philanthropic communities.

  • A person of Christian faith, able to authentically advance the mission and values of Catholic education.

  • Strong financial acumen, including budget and P&L oversight and growing earned and philanthropic revenue.

  • Demonstrated success in fundraising, including donor cultivation and major gift solicitation.

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.

  • Authentic connection to and understanding of the students and families served.

  • Experience partnering effectively with Boards, volunteers, and donors.

  • Ability to foster a healthy, mission-aligned culture across leadership, faculty, and staff.

  • Experience growing complex, partnership-based or earned-revenue programs, including employer or workforce-aligned initiatives.

  • Experience working in Education field is preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.

  • Minimum of five years of senior-level leadership experience with increasing responsibility.
