Job Description

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Automation & Controls Engineer to support the design, installation, and maintenance of automated process equipment, facility systems, and software. This role involves troubleshooting, corrective maintenance, and ensuring the reliability and performance of production systems. The engineer will contribute to both ongoing operations and new projects, with responsibilities ranging from equipment specification to system implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize automated electromechanical systems and software.

  • Perform corrective maintenance on PLCs, vision systems, SCADA development, automated packaging equipment, and utility systems.

  • Lead and coordinate project activities, including planning, scheduling, and organizing.

  • Collaborate across departments to enhance automation, data collection, reporting, and system reliability.

  • Complete documentation, work orders, and reports in compliance with GMP standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software, or related field.

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in industrial/process controls, PLCs, and software development.

  • Proficiency with Allen-Bradley systems; Siemens and B&R experience preferred.

  • Strong project engineering/management experience.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Pharma experience preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work any shift, including scheduled/unscheduled overtime.

  • Ability to meet deadlines, follow safety standards, and maintain confidentiality.
